2016 Volkswagen Golf R

The 2016 Volkswagen Golf R was produced in limited numbers of the VW Golf Line with less than 20% of the Golf production being the Golf R variant.  A total of 4,493 were produced for the model year 2016.  This 7^th generation Golf variant produces a whopping 296hp out of a turbo charged 2.0L 4 cylinder linked to the infamous 4 Motion all-wheel drive through a 6 speed DSG dual clutch transmission.  It will claw itself to 60 mph in just 4.5 seconds.  Truly a remarkable hot hatch.
